Trent Stephens

Trent is a theatre artist with an MFA in Shakespeare & Performance from Mary Baldwin University and a BA in Theatre Arts from Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Since 2015, he has served as artistic director of the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival, directing Shakespeare by the Sea in Jupiter and Shakespeare by the Palms in Royal Palm Beach. With the help of grants and donors, and the support of festival's producers, Trent launched Sharing Shakespeare in 2020. Now Sharing Shakespeare tours high schools in Palm Beach County with small-scale professional productions, free of charge. 

 

Trent is co-founder of Central Kentucky Improv and helped to launch the Voices Inside program at Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex in 2017.

Since 2022, Trent has served as assistant professor of theatre at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
